Synopsis
A year after Hurricane Maria, about 400,000 Puerto Ricans moved to the U.S. to escape the harsh and dangerous condition that Hurricane Maria left behind. About 150,000 of the 400,000 settled in Central Florida. In the documentary we take a look at the destruction Maria left behind and how Puerto Ricans who moved to Central Florida are adjusting to the change. With the food being such a large influence in Puerto Rican culture, we learn how finding an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant can help a new environment feel like home.
